Leadership, on a business level, means setting standards. For the past nine years, Aeroméxico has broken new ground in aviation in Mexico – and even in the world– establishing new standards of quality for service.
We were the first to achieve world leadership in punctuality, a recognition we still hold today on an international level for baggage handling. Ahead of everyone, we created Club Premier, the first Frequent Flyer Program in Latin America, and we were the first airline in the country to offer a special class for the most demanding travelers: Clase Premier. Other innovations include the first on board telephones on a Mexican airline and, in 1997, we inaugurated Aeropass: the first electronic ticketing system in Latin America. Another milestone was becoming the first Mexican carrier to offer service between the New World and Europe, and we have since continued to increase the number of our international destinations.
