Grupo México is Mexico's largest mining group and, because of the nature of its business, has a major international presence. The Group principally engages in the mining and processing of copper, zinc, silver, gold, molybdenum and lead. In addition, GMEXICO obtained the concession to operate the Pacifíco-Norte and the Chihuahua-Pacifíco Railroad lines from the Mexican Government. Grupo México consolidates its mining activities under the 'Grupo Minero México' subsidiary (formerly MEDIMSA), and its rail operations under the 'Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano' subsidiary (GFM).
